Must meet the following criteria: 1. Successful completion of a background investigation to include criminal history and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), subject to federal and state mandated restrictions. 2. Passing the required pre-employment drug test. Job Purpose: Performs a variety of manual custodial tasks involved in the housekeeping for the building. Major Responsibilities: Sweep and mop floors; vacuum Dust and clean offices; other work areas Collect and remove trash; replace with new liners Wash windows and walls Clean restrooms; employees and public Inventory custodial supplies Move and/or lift furniture, boxes, and other materials Change burned out light bulbs Other duties as needed Must have knowledge of: Materials, methods, and practices used in custodial operations. Occupational hazards and safety precautions of custodial operations. Proper use and care of variety of tools, materials, and equipment common to custodial operations. Operate a variety of custodial equipment including vacuum cleaner and carpet cleaner. Ability Requirements & Physical Requirements: Have the ability to maintain a schedule of cleaning and work with a minimum of supervision. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, crouch, stoop, squat, crawl, twist, climb, and lift up to 40 pounds. The employee will have exposure to noise, outdoors, vibration, chemicals and mechanical hazards.
