CityLink is looking for Bus Drivers Monday thru Saturday (Hours varies from 6 am to 6 pm) Must have CDL with passenger or able to obtain within 90 days (We do training here).Operator I Shifts vary from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm; some Saturdays Pay: No CDL $11.00 Pay: CDL w/ Passenger Endorsement $11.50 Must meet the following criteria: 1. Successful completion of a background investigation to include criminal history and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), subject to federal and state mandated restrictions. 2. Passing the required pre-employment drug test. 3. Completion of the CityLink Training Program. 4. Obtaining Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement. Major Responsibilities: Drives one of several different buses/vans or company non-revenue vehicles in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the contracted service area within a daily assigned time schedule. Maintains a strong attendance record. Performs pre/post trip vehicle inspections as required. Possess a functional knowledge of the demographics of the service area. Stops at designated points to load and/or unload passengers. May assist in the boarding of passengers using a mobility device and is required to properly secure with lap and shoulder belts. Notifies dispatch of deviations, overload, accidents, passenger incidents, medical/behavioral problems, or bus mechanical/electrical trouble. Assures that fares are deposited into the fare box. Advises passengers of rules and regulations when necessary. Completes and submits written reports concerning passengers and all accidents. Operates on-board computer fare boxes and destination signs. Assumes any and all other duties assigned. Experience & Skills Required: Good verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic mathematical procedures. Ability to work under stress and meet strict timelines. Must be able to work without direct supervision. Must read and understand street signs, route sheets and maps. Excellent communication skills Able to work shift hours and days assigned. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Ability to verbally communicate with passengers and dispatchers/road supervisors including use of a 2-way radio and PA system. Required to sit while operating vehicle approximately 75% of the work day. Ability to push/pull tension of at least 50 pounds and ability to bend and stoop/kneel to assist passengers boarding and securing in wheelchair/scooters and/or to retrieve equipment. Bend at the knee and waist performing vehicle inspections, and securing mobility devices Subject to wet, cold, and/or hot environmental conditions.
